ABOUT US

Our Mission:
ReUseResources inspires environmental stewardship, academic achievement, and innovation through hands-on learning and material reuse. ReUseResources enables businesses to redirect tons of surplus materials toward education, innovation, and creativity.

What We Do:

  • Find and collect new and gently-used materials and supplies for our members. Please contact us if you have materials to donate.
  • Design hands-on activities that use surplus/reuse materials to meet academic standards.
  • Conduct special workshops and events for classes, schools, and community organizations. Workshops are flexible and can be customized to meet learning objectives, seasonal events, scout badge requirements, or other needs.
  • Support positive youth development by offering project-based, customized internships for youth and promoting youth-led workshops that emphasize skill-building and service.

About the ReUseResources Center:
Located in Burien, Washington, the ReUseResource Center is a community-student-teacher partnership venture. Members of ReuseResources can access a vast array of low-cost and free materials to support hands-on learning in their classrooms. Membership is open to teachers or community organizations that serve preK-12 kids. The cost to join is $15 for an introductory membership.

The Highline Education Association has agreed to underwrite the first 50 memberships for certificated Highline School District teachers. If you are a Highline teacher, or if you would like to underwrite additional memberships, please contact us.
